When you are underwater and running out of breath wouldn't your first instinct be to simply take a breath? Well instincts, impulses, and such are great in matters of love, but not much else. Logic is necessary in life no matter how appealing it may be to live on the flutter of a wing. If you don't apply logic to school, work, family matters and life choices you wont accomplish the balance necessary for a full heart necessary for expressing your instincts. Also without a full heart you cannot fully enjoy life and you aren't as strong when the hits come. I mean we are (humans are) animals but we are gifted, blessed, cursed maybe, with brilliant minds, and we must weigh both intincts and logic with the utmost care so as not to tip the scales and enter Pandemonium.
This is such a mess of thought. I love how every time I write I'm explaining or arguing something, as if I knew the world. I do it for myself, ya know. It's for my own expansion, my own discovery my own mind. I've still got a long way to go, so feel free to call me out anytime, prove me wrong, It'll only help me answer more questions.

"No! this face is only a mask, a wicked ornament,
illuminated by an exquisite grimace,
Look and see, atrociously contorted,
The real head, and the sincere face
Turned back under the shadow of the face which lies"
Charles Baudelaire
